Privacy and Security Policy

Your privacy is important to Felt. Below is our Privacy Policy that explains how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your personal information. By using the Felt Application and Website you agree to the collection and use of your personal information as described in this Policy. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Collection and Use of Personal Information

We collect personal information required for performing the functions of the Felt Application and Website. Personal information is data that can be used to uniquely identify or contact a single person, manage your account and mail your cards. You may be asked to provide your personal information anytime you are in contact with Felt and its authorized agents. Felt and its authorized agents may share this personal information with each other and use it consistent with this Privacy Policy. They may also combine it with other information to provide and improve our products, services, content, and advertising.

What Personal Information We Collect

  • When you create a Felt Account, purchase a greeting card, download a software update, or participate in an online survey, we may collect a variety of information, including your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, contact preferences, credit card information, photos and mobile device identification number.

  • When you send greeting cards to family and friends using the Felt Application, Felt may collect the information you provide about those people such as name and mailing address.

  • Personal information such as the photo you send on cards and the contacts you import into your Felt app are transmitted to Felt servers using secure https protocols.

  • You may contact us and request that your information be permanently deleted at any time.

How We Use Personal Information

  • Our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit the Felt Application and Website. This information includes your Internet Protocol address, your browser type and version, the search engine you used to find Felt, if any, the operating system your computer uses, which Felt you use and when and how long you use them. We use this information to monitor and analyze how users use Felt, to provide customer service and to maintain and improve Felt products and services.

  • The personal information we collect allows us to keep you posted on Felt’s latest product announcements, software updates, and upcoming events. It also helps us develop, deliver and improve our products, services, content, and advertising. If you don’t want to be on our mailing list, you can opt out anytime.

  • From time to time, we may use your personal information to send important notices, such as communications about purchases and changes to our terms, conditions, and policies. Because this information is important to your interaction with Felt, you may not opt out of receiving these communications.

  • We may also use personal information for internal purposes such as auditing, data analysis, and research to improve Felt’s products, services, and customer communications. To help accomplish this, we may use third party services that collect, monitor and analyze this type of information. These third party service providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.

  • If you enter into a sweepstake, contest, or similar promotion we may use the information you provide to administer those programs.

  • We only use the card recipient’s name and address for quality control and internal use purposes only. We may contact you or a third party printer to confirm the accuracy of the mailing address information. Felt does not and will not use the card recipient’s information for direct communications with the exception of providing the name Felt, domain address, promo codes or any other information on the back of the card.

  • We transfer credit card and account information (with SSL encryption) to third parties for processing but do not retain any of this information. All personally identifiable information collected during a credit card transaction is stored securely by these third parties and subject to their Privacy Policy. We do not store credit card data on our servers. We will also collect and retain the e-mail addresses of those who elect to communicate with us via e-mail, and other information that you may occasionally volunteer to share.. As is common practice, we log visits to our Web Site on an aggregate basis. A log entry related to a visit typically contains information such as the browser type used, the visitor’s Internet Protocol address, URL of the last site visited and the date and time of day visited.

  • Connected account information: If you choose to connect a third-party account such as Google Contacts, information from that account that you authorize us to access — including your contacts' names, birthdays and other important dates, phone numbers, email addresses, and postal addresses where present.

Cookies and Other Technologies

Felt’s website, online services, interactive applications, email messages, and advertisements may use “cookies” and other technologies such as pixel tags and web beacons. These technologies help us better understand user behavior, tell us which parts of our website people have visited, and facilitate and measure the effectiveness of advertisements and web searches. We treat information collected by cookies and other technologies as non-personal information. However, to the extent that Internet Protocol (IP) addresses or similar identifiers are considered personal information by local law, we also treat these identifiers as personal information. Similarly, to the extent that non-personal information is combined with personal information, we treat the combined information as personal information for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.

Disclosure to Third Parties

At times Felt may make certain personal information available to strategic associates that work with Felt to provide products and services, or that help Felt market to customers. Personal information will only be shared by Felt to provide or improve our products, services and advertising; it will not be shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Connected Accounts and Google User Data

When you choose to connect a third-party account to Felt (for example, Google Contacts), Felt accesses information from that account only after you grant permission, and only to provide the feature you asked for.

What we access. If you connect Google Contacts, Felt requests read-only access to your Google contacts (the contacts.readonly scope). We read your contacts' names, birthdays and other important dates, phone numbers and email addresses (used to recognize contacts you already have so we don't create duplicates), and postal addresses where they are present.

How we use it. We use this information solely to import your contacts into your own Felt address book, so that you can send cards to them and so that Felt can remind you of — and, if you choose, automatically send cards for — occasions such as birthdays. We do not create, edit, or delete anything in your Google account.

Limited Use. Felt's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We use Google user data only to provide and improve the connect-and-import features you have chosen to use.

  • We do not transfer Google user data to others except as necessary to provide or improve those features, to comply with applicable law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with notice to you.

  • We do not use Google user data for advertising.

  • We do not allow humans to read your Google user data, except with your specific consent, where necessary for security, to comply with applicable law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.

Disconnecting. You can disconnect a connected account at any time in Felt. When you disconnect, Felt revokes its access with the provider and deletes the stored credentials. You can also review or revoke access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Contacts you've already imported remain in your Felt address book until you remove them.

Assistant connectors (Claude, ChatGPT, and similar AI assistants)

Felt offers optional connectors that let you use Felt from AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT. If you choose to connect one, you authorize it through a standard secure sign-in (OAuth). The assistant receives a limited access token scoped to your own Felt account and never receives your Felt password.

Through a connector you can save moments, create and view your lists, add people to a list by name, and add a mailing address you provide for a card you are sending. A connector can therefore access the moments you save, your Felt lists and the names on them, and any mailing address you supply. It acts only on your own account, and only when you ask it to.

Assistant connectors cannot purchase, send, or pay for a card, and cannot charge you — every card is completed and paid for by you in the Felt app. We do not sell this information or share it with third parties for their own marketing. You can disconnect a connector at any time from your assistant's settings, which immediately revokes its access to your Felt account.

information about you if we determine that disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our terms and conditions or protect our operations or users. Integrity and Retention of Personal Information
